This means they are created using computer software that allows very precise shapes. The design is based on 3D scan data taken from the actual Fiesta MK8/8.5 ST/ST-Line rear bumper. This helps to give a tight, consistent fit around the fog light area. Each surround is produced in Nylon 12 using SLS 3D printing. SLS (selective laser sintering) is a process where a laser fuses layers of nylon powder to build a strong, solid part. Nylon 12 is a tough, lightweight engineering plastic that copes well with daily driving and typical road conditions. After printing, the parts are media blasted to give a smooth, even surface, then coloured black for an OEM style bumper trim finish.
