Description 1 x Defender Extended Front Mud Flap Mounting Kit & Mud Shields Part Number :- GL1010-GL1009, Pair Defender Extended Front Mud Flap Mounts & Mud Shields Fits:- Defender 90/110/130. GL1009 These mounting brackets are to move your existing standard front mudflap forward and outwards. By doing this it will stop all the mud from getting flung up the doors and onto the door handle, especially when big wheels and tyres are fitted. The mounting brackets are made out of 3mm galvanized steel and come with all bolts to fit them, they will also fit if you have sill bars, or rock sliders fitted as the chassis bracket has 2 mounting positions. Also included in this kit –  GL1010 These outrigger mud shield guards will fit all Defenders, they are to stop all the mud and road salt from getting on top of the front outriggers, road salt and mud settles on top of the outrigger causing them to rot away, even galvanized chassis do suffer over time. It is much easier cleaning your Land Rover as the mud can’t get into the outrigger or around the foot well, road noise will be reduced, especially in wet conditions. Our mud shields are made from a rigid but still flexible 3mm plastic material in black, they are very easy to fit, you just slide them in behind the inner wing and use the 2 inner wing securing screws to secure them. When fitting our mud shield kits I recommend using Morris K48 Moly Grease on all nuts/bolts and on all the steel and galvanized fittings that bolt to alloy as it acts like a barrier to stop corrosion, if brushed onto the galvanized brackets it will help prevent white salt marks that occur from road salt in wet conditions.
