Front Challenge Turrets, 2″ Including Re-locators, GL1050

Description 1 x Pair Front Challenge Shock Turrets ( 2 inch GALVANISED steel turrets) Part Number:- GL1050, Pair Front Challenge Turrets, 2″ Including Re-locators Manufacturer:- Gwyn Lewis 4×4 Fits:- Front Defender 90/110/130, Disco 1 & RRC. Weight:- 6KG These turrets are for our challenge suspension kit when fitting our 5.5 inch, 11 inch travel Shock absorbers. Please see HERE for our Heavy Duty Turret Securing Rings GL1053 to Secure the Turrets to your Chassis. A re-locator is built in to guide the spring back into position if it dislocates. Works the same as dislocation cones but combines both functions into one to reduce the cost of two items. These re-locators are a two-piece open design. This allows the shock more room to move forwards and backwards with axle movement. Especially when big bore shocks are used The turret base plate has a flat face, this is to minimise any tyre rubbing on full articulation and makes it easier to fit the turret under the inner wing, you can see this in one of the pictures. These turrets are handed, the hole in the upper leg must be fitted towards the front of the vehicle. The longer part of the relocator must go against the chassis. Sold as a pair and are galvanized to prolong life. When Fitting our 2″ Turrets to 200/300tdi Defenders you will need to space out your coolant header tank to stop the top of the shock fowling on the bottom of the tank, please click HERE for our spacer kit GL1055.
