DescriptionIt was said Lucifer landed in blackberry brambles when he was cast down from heaven, and so he cursed them so they would be ugly. It was alleged that he hated them so much that he would stomp on them during Michealmas Day on September 29th. It is now believed that if you harvest them after that day it is thought to be unlucky but other folklore says this happens on Halloween.
