MMR Performance Top Mount Performance Chargecooler – BMW S55 F8X M2C/M3/M4 – MMR05-1001 The MMR Performance Top Mount High Performance ChargeCooler for the BMW M2C/M3/M4 F8x S55 engine improves power and torque output significantly by substantially reducing charge air temperatures versus the OE cooling setup. This intercooler core offers 114% more external core volume compared to the stock cooler. The factory chargecooler used on the S55 engine has proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air temperatures soar. Our massive replacement ChargeCooler is the best performing cooler upgrade on offer for the S55. Our development focussed on finding the sweet spot of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss allowing increased size without increased lag. By consistently reducing intake air temperatures, heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance. The core itself uses internal turbulators to improve its cooling performance and the CFD optimised cast end tanks assist with maintaining the best airflow across the core.
