They have the gift of prophetic insight, capable to predict events in human life, and natural phenomena. They took part in family celebrations, holidays, and would grieve over the death of their landlord. There was direct correlation between domestic happiness and apiaries. When a beekeeper died neighbours would go to his beehives to inform them of the death. They would hit each beehive three times and tell the bees about their masters passing. The centuries old custom of “Telling the bees” is found throughout much of Europe.
