VAGSport Lower Dogbone Insert The VAGSport mount is precision machined to fill the voids in your factory-fitted lower subframe mount. Eliminating some negative characteristics of the factory design instantly! Filling these voids drastically reduces the forward and backwards movement of the engine and gearbox (‘bucking’) when accelerating and braking. On front-wheel drive vehicles, this is particularly important to address because the forward and backwards movement is much more severe. Under hard acceleration, the engine jolts violently back and forth creating a horrible banging known as “wheel hop”. With the VAGSport lower mount insert that movement is reduced so wheel hop is a thing of the past and all your power is smoothly transferred to the wheels, maintaining grip and acceleration. The 6061 aluminium was chosen for this application due to its properties, the results are: CNC Machined out of 6061 billet aluminium alloy. Minimal transference of NVH throughout the cabin On a young stock mount, it perfectly fills the voids. On a slightly worn stock mount, the material can deflect slightly to bridge the gap without failing. Anodized black coating for protection, looking better for longer.
