Description The hip lifting clamp, can be used when a cow lies down and struggles to get up, as prolonged lying restricts blood circulation and can lead to muscle degeneration. To assist, secure the clamp around the cow’s hip bones and use a block and tackle to lift her to her feet. Once her hindquarters are elevated, she will typically stand on her front legs on her own. The clamp is intended only to assist the cow in standing and is not meant to keep her upright. A tripod and block and tackle are available as optional accessories.
